The Doberman Photo Book: Celebrating the Breed We Love (Edition 4 2016–2026)

For nine and a half years, our Doberman family has grown from a small group in 2016 to more than 128,000 members worldwide. This book is our story in pictures.

Inside you will find 184 Dobermans, eight per page across 24 gallery-quality pages. Black and rust, red, blue, fawn, and white. Ears up, ears natural, working dogs, couch cuddlers, seniors, and puppies. Every dog was submitted by a real owner from our community.

Each of those dogs carries a legacy that began in Apolda, Germany, in the late 1800s. Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann was a tax collector who needed a fearless partner for his dangerous rounds, so he built his own. He blended the intelligence and stamina of the old German Shepherd, the power and natural guarding of the Rottweiler, the quickness of the German Pinscher, and the scenting ability of the Weimaraner. Later breeders refined the look with Manchester Terrier and Greyhound to give the breed its sleek outline. That rough-hewn protector became the loyal, athletic dog we know today, so trusted for courage that the United States Marine Corps made it their official war dog in World War II.
